10K Course Description: Start across from Vilas Beach Run west along Vilas Park Drive to Left onto Edgewood Drive to Right onto Woodrow to Left onto Monroe Street to Enter Wingra Park on bike path (near commonwealth intersection) to Arbor Drive to Left onto Monroe/Nakoma to Left onto Manitou Way to Left on Seminole Hwy to Left into Arboretum (stay on your left facing traffic) Continue through the Arboretum to Left out of Arboretum to Left on Wingra Drive (which turns into Vilas Park Dr.) to Finish line

WALK-UP REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK-UP
September 26th, 2010 10 am to 4 pm Walk-up registration ($30 runners and walkers) and pre-registered race packet and dry fit t-shirt pick-up will be in the Visitor's Center at the Zoo 606 S Randall Ave.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION
Race day registration and packet pickup will be 8:30 AM. until 9:45 AM in the Main Tent at the Henry Vilas Zoo. Please enter using the gate closest to Wingra Beach and the race start. Registration will close at 9:45 A.M. Please allow sufficient time to find parking and pickup your race packet.

PARKING
Please arrive early to allow time to park as space is limited.

CLOTHING/GEAR
Please be sure to leave all valuables in a secure place as we will not be storing items for participants during the run/walk event.

REFRESHMENTS
Beer will be provided by Capital Brewery, fruit and other refreshments will be available after the race in the Main Tent in the center of the Zoo.

AWARDS
OVERALL: Top 3 men/women. AGE GROUPS: (NEW THIS YEAR!) Top 3 male/female age group winners in the following categories: 14 & Under / 15-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70+

TIMING
The 5K Run and 10K Run will be timed using ChampionChip® timing. The 5K walk is a non-competitive, untimed event. Timing chips must be worn on your shoe during the entire race in order to be officially timed. No chip, no time. Timing chips are disposable, however, you may recycle them in the marked containers at the finish line.

FIRST AID/MEDICAL PERSONNEL
Will be located near the finish line area.

JUST FOR FUN
Dress up as your favorite animal! Prizes will be given for the best costume.

ROO RUN RUN
$5.00 (covers cost of t-shirt, not dry fit) Get your little "joeys" moving, too! Following the Zoo Run Run 10K and 5K run/walk, Town Bank presents this fun race for kids ages 2-6. This dash through the Zoo will start around 11:00 a.m. across from the Main Tent in the center of the Zoo. Your smallest kangaroos can run, hop or skip to the finish line, and all participants will earn a cool prize from Town Bank! *If you're also participating in the 5K Run/Walk or the 10K Run, please be sure to have a responsible adult available to accompany your child to the Roo Run Run.
*** NEW THIS YEAR! Kids will receive t-shirts (only those pre-registered will be guaranteed t-shirts. Kids shirts are not dry fit).
